LONG BEACH WEEKEND, 2 Group 2's on the Westie!!!



Just a quick update until I get more pics, but Ch. Glenhaven's Danny Boy O' Donnybrook owned by Fred Askin (Churchwarden Westies) and Blair Miran (Junior Handler) was Best of Breed on Thursday and Friday under Mr. Wayne Burton and Mr. K. McDermott, and then on to Group 2 Placements each day under Mr. Bink of Australia and Mr. Wayne Burton behind Sadie!!!! Danny went on to an Award of Excellence under Mr. Robert Black at Eukanuba on Sunday.

Also, Sally, Purston's Society Girl was also Winners Bitch, BOW on Weds and Thursday for a total of 5 points, one day being a 3 point major under Mr. Walter Goodman and Mr. McDermott from the Open class.

Dolce does Maryland again and 2 new champions!

Dolce, Ch. Land Rose R. JP Dear Mrs. was Best of Breed 2 days and Group 3 on Saturday at the maryland Turkey Cluster, congrats to her owner Mrs. Itoya!

Rumor, New Ch. Baardian's Rumor Has It also went Winners Bitch/Best of Winners on Friday for 2 points, and then Winners Bitch on Sunday to finish her Championship!!! Congrats to Lisa Inman and the DeBeers, I enjoyed her short stay with me.

AKC/JKC Ch. Land Rose R. JP Dear Mrs, "Dolce" Dolce is a Group winning, multiple BOB and has 3 Award of Merit Specialty wins under her belt as well. She is a little sister to Max. She is shown here winning AOM at the DC specialty in October the week after Montgomery.

Danny does North Carolina!

Ch. Glenhaven's Danny Boy O" Donnybrook the Westie owned by Fred Askin and Blair Miran took a Group 1 at the Furniture City Kennel Club on Saturday under Westie Breeder/Judge Barbara Keenan, Best of Breed was Charlotte McGowan.

On Sunday, Danny went Group 2 under Charlotte McGowan, BOB was Barbara Keenan.

Thanks to all the judges and those watching who cheered Danny on! Thank you!

Ch. Land Rose R. JP Dear Mrs was Best of Breed on Sunday under Barbara also.

Ch. Glenhaven's Danny Boy O' Donnybrook winning Group 3 at the Maryland Circuit after Montgomery at Catonsville KC. This was a tough group of Terriers this weekend! Congrats Fred Askin and Blair Miran.

This was also a good weekend for Baardrian's Rumor Has it, co-owned by Lisa Inman and Petre Debeer in California as she went Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for a 3 point major. Rumor is pictured up top, a black brindle bitch. :)

Ch. Land Rose R. JP Dear Mrs also received an Award of Merit at the Washington DC Scotty Specialty, there was a large group of bitch specials so this was a nice honor winning to the rotating national winner. Congrats Mrs. Itoya!

MCKC weekend

Not a bad weekend, we can't complain.

Danny the Westie was 1st AOM at Hatboro on Thursday, 2nd AOM on Friday, Down to the final 2 males going for Best of Breed at Devon and made the cut at Montgomery!

Sally the Wire fox, my class bitch coowned with Michael Collins and Sandi Hughes was Winners Bitch for a major on Thursday and Winners Bitch at the national on Sunday at Montgomery for another major!!!

Dolce made the cut at Hatboro Friday and showed wonderful all the other days.

Chipper and Bridget were Best Junior Handler at Montgomery Sunday!

Sarge, the class scotty also placed consistently in the open class, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd!

Can't complain!

Busy Busy Summer


Chipper has been busy since finishing his championship, he has consistently placed with bridget Ratcliffe in juniors, including a Best Junior Handler over 30 to 40 juniors from Open Intermediate at Salem, VA shows in August. She has since then moved to Open Senior where she has consistently won and placed with him. She is currently #2 Terrier Junior in the country with a combined effort of her Smooth Fox Splash and Wire Chipper, and is #2 Wire Junior, but creeping up fast to catch the other junior hoping to be #1.

Best of Breed - Western Washington Terrier Club - August 2009

We had some tough competition at this show and Danny went Best of Breed on Friday, thanks to everyone who complimented and supported him through the weekend!

Danny was also Best of Breed on Saturday at Salem, Virginia Cluster over a nice entry of Westies!

Congrats Fred!

Dolce has been taking a break getting ready for the fall shows, she was garnered several Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Awards on the East over the summer! Congrats Mrs. Itoya!

The Doberman has accumulated several points over the summer, and received a major Reserve at Harrrisburg up against some tough competition! He will travel with Jesse Sutton and hopefully pick up some nice wins, thanks Jesse and Roxanne! Owner Beverly Casey

Ch. Afterglows Beameups Captain Hook, Scottish Terrier is also available for stud for a short time. He is a Ch. Perhaps Sugardaddy grandson, and father is line bred french import that Vandra Huber imported last year, also Am. Ch. he is a very sound, solid dog with excellent movement all around and great attitude.

CHIPPER IS A CHAMPION!!!

Congratulations to Chisato Kurosu and Hiroshi Tsuyuki, for breeding NEW Am. Ch. CK Terra's JP Get Up and Go, CHIPPER!!!

Chipper flew with me to Houston on my Houston Club Scottie Sweeps judging assignment where it was possible for there to be majors available. Chipper pulled off Winners Dog on Saturday to finish his championship and then on to show as a special for his first time on Sunday. He showed the best he's shown, and even through a spar! :) We are very excited!

Thanks to everyone that supported him, now he will go on to be a junior dog with his new co-owner, Bridget Ratcliffe, here in Maryland.

Sweeps was so much fun, thank you Houston Club for inviting me, I do appreciate it!!!

Virginia Terrier Club Results and NEw Champion

Pictured above is NEW Ch. Afterglows Beameups Captain Hook, aka Bob, owned by Kelvin Johnson (in my name on paper for record purposes)

Bob finished his championship this past weekend at the Virginia Cluster, taking a WD/BOW/BOS at the Virginia Terrier Club supported entry for a 3 point major and then taking a 3 point major on Saturday at the All Breed WD/BOW/BOS finishing his championship witha few points to spare. Bob finished quickly, taking his first 5 point major at the Dayton specialty and then pickign up a few points in Charlottesville and Bryn Mawr Kennel Clubs, so he was only shown in 4 weekends to finish. He is out of Ch. Book Maker De Champernoune owned and co-owned by Killanbrae scotties in Washington and Vandra Huber, and the dam is Ch. Afterglows Hellz Bellz and he was bred by Lisa Inman in CA. He is a Marko (Ch. Perhaps Sugardaddy) grandson.

Bob will be available for stud if anyone in the East in interested in new bloodlines. He is a Marko grandson. Structurely he is very sound, beautiful neck and shoulder, in the picture, what you see is what you get, moderately short backed, clean movement coming and going and wonderful side gate, plenty of front and rear and good body. He is only 13 months old so he needs to mature, but he loved the show ring, and even got upset when I didn't show him on Sunday. haha

BEST OF BREED was CH. Land Rose R. JP Dear Mrs, (Dolce) owned by Mrs. Itoya for the scotties also on Friday, congrats Dolce!!!

BEST OF BREED Westie was Danny, Ch. Churchwarden Danny Boy O Donnybrook and he also made the cut in the group! Go Danny! Danny is currently ranked Top 10 in Westies breed points!

Best in Show for Sam, the Toy Poodle and New Canadian Champion!

Just got the news, not all the details yet, but Sam, AKC/CAN Ch. Smash JP Alaskan Dream was Best in Show in Canada, along with a bunch of Group 1s and 2s in there to match. He also achieved his Canadian Championship in one weekend!!!!

Sam is co-owned with Joanne Langseth and Sherri Walsh, handled by Joanne...go Joanne!!!

Latest and Greatest!

So we have some catching up to do since our last update in May...hmmm...lets see whats happening!

Danny has been on a good role, he's won 3 Best of Breed's his last 2 weekends out, including a Group 1 under Judge Lydia Hutchison at the Charlottesville KC, VA shows, thank you!!!
Danny is currently ranked #6 in Westie Breed Points, according to canine chronicle system!

Danny and his Junior Blair were also 1st in Novice Junior, Blair just needs one more win to advance to Open, she was 2nd on Sunday.

Ch. Land Rose R. JP Dear Mrs has also had a good run, taking Best of Breed all three days in VA Memorial Day weekend, and also Best of Breed Sunday at Charlottesville. Thank you Blair for your assistance to me at the shows with Dolce and Danny!

Also, our latest venture is the Doberman "Gunther" owned by Beverly Casey. He's a 13 month old male and has done very well since debuting with me in April at the Timonium Shows. So far he has garnered a Best in Sweeps, consecutive 12-18 month class wins, Winners Dog/BOW at Charlottesville, and Reserve Winners Dog Charlottesville.

Bob, our 5 point major winner at the rotating weekend, has also done well. We showed him at Charlottesville, his first time out since rotating and he got back to back WD/BOW for 4 more points, he needs just 6 points and a major to finish.

We are off to Bryn Mawr this weekend, home of the Devon Shows, and then on to Bel Alton, MD the following weekend.

I am open to take class Scotties if anyone is interested, I can condition in my home or I can take ringsides.

Dolce is Best of Breed at Mason Dixon KC

On Sunday, Dolce, CH. Land Rose R. JP Dear Mrs., owned by Yoshimi Itoya was Best of Breed at Mason Dixon Kennel Club on Easter Sunday.

Beameups Afterglows Captain Hook (Bob) was 1st in his class each day and Reserve Winners Dog on Sunday....of course there were only 2 dogs, but it was a nice time for him and he had fun in the 9-12 mo class.

We are gearing up for Timonium this weekend, we have the Columbia Terrier Specialties on Friday.

Max does New York twice!

Last weekend in Suffern NY, Max was Best of Breed all 3 days and cut in the group all three days.
